Please contact me for information and to discuss specific needs.
Originally from the UK I trained as a specialised Mental Health Nurse, which means that my training was specific to mental health from the first year, providing a wide range of experience across multiple settings. Core elements of my training included learning how to build a therapeutic relationship, training on different therapy styles and practicing delivering these, co-facilitating groups, trauma informed care, managing risk and engaging in clinical supervision. These core elements of my initial training have remained significant to my practice and my core values as a clinician.
I have been qualified for over 10 years and worked in a variety of areas including forensic mental health (UK), acute inpatient (including eating disorder inpatient), community and outpatients. I have a special interest in women’s mental health, emotional regulation difficulties, personality disorders and perinatal mental health. I have specialist knowledge on providing care and treatment for people with eating disorders.
I currently work in a public health setting part time and private practice part time. This balance has allowed me to further my skills in different areas and allowed me the space to practice the therapies I have been trained to deliver. Clinical Supervision is an area I am passionate about and I have significant experience over the last 10 years providing supervision individually and in a group setting.
Clinical Supervision Services Supervisor Training Level 1 and 2 – Fundamentals of Clinical Supervision and Assessment of Supervisor Competency. Accredited by the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses, Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, and ACWA.
Degree of Bachelor of Science – Mental Health Nursing. Master of Mental Health Nursing. Credentialed Mental Health Nurse. Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician.
Radically Open – Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (RO-DBT) Level Two.
