Kia ora (Greetings) from Aotearoa, New Zealand. As a sole trader for five years and supervisor for 20 years, I bring a range of knowledge and experience. Raised in a rural town called Ngaruawahia in the Waikato basin of the North Island with my parents and my siblings, country life helped me to enhance and embrace my cultural standing as tangata whenua (people of the land) with my people. My parents were role models and worked hard to provide us with the necessities of life. We were encouraged to look for opportunities. I later found higher education, community and social work, and justice to be a calling, eventually becoming an external contractor in supervision. I was well supported by my wife, Tiahuia, and our six tamariki (children), who are responsible for where I stand today. My business, Cultural Advice Māori, pertains to who I am and the ability to provide advice from a Māori perspective. That is, from a holistic lens I can work alongside anyone whilst utilising and embracing wairua (spiritual), hinengaro (mind & careful listening) and tīnana (body language). Please check out the website and my profile.
Ngā mihi nui (A tremendous acknowledgement)
